Max, while sometimes creative, didn't have a lot of ideas himself for how in the world they were going to make this snowman's face. In fact he was a bit impressed by the other Max's quick thinking with oreos, even if he thought them a sad waste of a good food. He shook his head, rubbing the back of his neck. "Nah, you're right-- yeah. Oreos will have to do it." He certainly wasn't about to just eat the oreos instead of finish the project-- that seemed sort of shady. His mind didn't even think of pebbles if only because hell naw. Way too cold.

He took an oreo from the bag and placed one firmly against the snowman, to function as an eye. Afterwards he backed up, double checking his work to make sure it was worth the waste. With an approving nod, he looking over at his new friend. "Yeah, yeah. Oreos will work perfectly." He paused for a second, considering what they were doing.

"I bet this is the first snowman anyone has made this school year."

Max’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion as the other Max claimed that his idea to use his cookies was a good one.  “Well…ok.  If you’re sure.”  He hadn’t seemed overly enthusiastic a little while ago!  But if he was saying yes now, then maybe he hadn’t been too far off the mark.

Watching as the boy pressed one of the oreos into the snowman as an eye, he smiled softly as Max claimed that it would be perfect.  “Ok.  Good.  I’m glad.”  It looked ok, at any rate.  Still holding a shy smile on his face, Max looked around the courtyard curiously.  It seemed that everybody was doing their own thing now, and he actually kind of like it this way.

Turning back though as it was mentioned that this was probably the first snowman, Max let out a small laugh.  “Isn’t this the first snowfall?” he asked softly.  Didn’t that kind of make it obvious that this would be the first snowman?  Maybe not…

A few people were looking at their snowman, but for the most part it was clear that this was no abnormal occurrence. Why not build a snowman after a good snow? Or during, he supposed; it was nice to live in Colorado. Back at home it took forever for snow to gather-- they had to plan on a damn ice storm to get it to collect-- but here it seemed a lot easier. Plenty of snow sightings, sometimes too much.

"Yeah, guess it is," he said with a smile. "But you never know. Someone on the other end of campus might be an expert snowman maker and he's made two in the time we took to make one."

Max let out a small laugh as the other Max mentioned that someone else – someone better – could be making a snowman or two somewhere else on campus.  “Maybe.” he said softly, giving a shy smile.  He never thought he would ever be doing something like this.  Studying the gamer curiously, he offered another cookie to continue making the face.

The other Max had been so nice to him.  Even after he had freaked out upon the initial contact, not expecting to be all but tackled to the ground, he had been nice.  “Thank you, Max.” he all but whispered, his cheeks turning a little pink as he reached for another cookie, starting to make the mouth.  “I’m sorry I…panicked earlier…”

He had thought he was being attacked.  It was a misunderstanding, obviously, but he still felt bad for assuming so.  Even if he was only going off his own history….
