Ruth, at first, can seem almost insufferably rude. She’s very blunt and to the point about everything she says and does; skipping around the point is certainly not something you’ll see her doing at any time. As such, she isn’t sarcastic or mean when she’s “rude,” simply as honest as a person can be, in likely the blankest tone possible. She thinks that certain things are just obvious, and denial of the obvious is just... stupid.
As such, she usually doesn’t get along with girls, because she’s not afraid to let them know when that dress makes you look fat, or if the guy you’re dating is totally using you. Not only that, but she’s not willing to overanalyze things like most girls-- she prefers to interpret the situation in blunt terms, in black and white. As such she mostly avoids drama, except for those who hate on her for being so honest. Poor Ruth.
She can also be argumentative, in that sense; because she is so bluntly honest, she also finds herself endlessly right. In the end she’ll agree to disagree, certainly, but if you plan on convincing her that you’re right, then good luck. In that sense, she’s pretty stubborn and unwilling to move.
Emotionally, the girl is pretty much an open book, as she’s so laidback that it’s hard notto be. If you ask her a question, she’ll answer directly-- she won’t make up some silly answer just to keep you happy. So if she likes a guy, she’ll say it-- if she thinks you’re cool, she’ll say it just the same. Neither will she expand upon the situation and get all giddy and girly about it, though, so don’t expect it.
She’s also quite confident-- perhaps that’s where this blunt honesty comes from, really. At times she can be lazy, though, as she doesn’t overexert herself if there isn’t a need for it. She also doesn’t really go out of her way for social contact, though she doesn’tmind it-- she’s just usually not the initiator of such a thing.
Sometimes her interests can be fleeting. In that sense, she likes everything at once and is mediocre at a million things, yet nothing really grabs her passion. Perhaps this is why she’s lazy, too, as she just doesn’t have much guidance or direction in life.
However, when the girl wants something, she goes for it. Even if it takes lots and lots of work, she’ll get it done-- though likely she might whine about it on the way. To be so blunt and so bull-headed, she can be extremely whiny when it comes down to it, and will likely complain when she doesn’t get her way.
She’s extremely neutral about everything, it seems; while she’s not optimistic, she’s not exactly pessimistic or cynical, either. Everything is subjective, in her mind, so she doesn’t get worked up about anything in particular. In that sense, she can be rather apathetic about most things, as well.
