The short week's break between the first and second summer semesters calls for a vacation! Given how quiet the campus normally is during these semesters, the SGA has put together an all expenses paid group campout about forty miles south of the university. Pack your bags, your tents, and whatever else you want to bring! Multiple group sites have been reserved along the Arkansas River in Colorado, but the best spots are on a first-come-first-served basis. Remember that camping equipment is available for rent from the university for free (assuming they haven't run out yet), so there's no excuse to stay behind!
The official starting date is Monday, July 1st, and the SGA will be hosting all sorts of events, from nontraditional intramural sports (such as canoeing) to outdoor movies to a small outdoor concert. Whitewater rafts, canoes, tubes, and fishing boats are available to rent from local outfitters for a discounted price. To celebrate Independence Day, the university will be hosting a special fireworks show at the stage on Thursday night. The official ending date is that Friday, but students are welcome to stay through Sunday to soak up as much of the break as possible.
On the board front, everything's been going smoothly on our end! For those of you just now settling in with us, welcome to CSU! If anyone has any suggestions for board improvement or questions, please let us know. We're here to make sure everything continues working smoothly! Thanks!
