Gabe typically made friends fairly easy. It wasn't unusual for him to make fast friends with a person-- that is, assuming they were enough like him that it was likely to do so to begin with. But admittedly he might never have spoken to Garrex had this accidental text exchange not happened. Not that he was the sort to judge based on appearance (at least not consciously), but he knew what sort of person enjoyed his presence and what person didn't. Before, this guy would've been a passing nod and smile rather than an outright conversation.

So it was refreshing. Pleasant. Different. Thus far the coincidence seemed to be a good one, though he supposed he couldn't count his chickens before they hatched. "Yeah, man. Not a proper food binge without watermelon at the very least." Again, he wasn't quite picking up on the fact that he was being somewhat invited-- that is until Garrex outright said so.

He paused for a moment, not entirely sure if only because he'd never really done something like this with a total stranger. On campus, maybe, but there was a different vibe. Still, it took him less than a few seconds to smile and agree, because why the fuck not? He didn't have anything better to do and God knew he needed a change from the Kappa house.

"Fuck yeah. I'll take that deal." Fortunately for him, Garrex meant no euphemism. He wouldn't have picked up on it. Imagine how that could've gone. "I can't turn down free food. Where d'you live?"
