Six first-team All-Americans Authentic Lukas Dostal Jersey , including Penn State running back Saquon Barkley and North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb, are among 22 players who will attend the NFL draft.

Four of the highly rated quarterbacks in this crop also will be at AT&T Stadium – Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Lamar Jackson and Josh Rosen. Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield has chosen not to attend.

Barkley and Chubb are projected to go in the top five picks.

The other AP All-Americans planning to be on hand April 26 are Alabama safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, Iowa cornerback Josh Jackson, Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith, and Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward.

Also attending will be UCF linebacker Shaquem Griffin. Griffin, the American Athletic Conference defensive player of the year, had his left hand amputated when he was 4.

The NFL said Thursday that other draft-eligible players attending will be:

Louisville CB Jaire Alexander Phillip Gaines Color Rush Jersey , Florida DT Taven Bryan, Texas-San Antonio DE Marcus Davenport, Virginia Tech LB Tremaine Edmunds, Alabama LB Rashaan Evans, LSU RB Derrius Guice, Florida State S Derwin James, UCLA T Kolton Miller, Boise State LB Leighton Vander Esch, Washington DT Vita Vea Patrick Maroon Jersey , and Texas T Connor Williams.

The Minnesota Twins have reinstated shortstop Jorge Polanco after he served an 80-game suspension for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug.

Polanco was reinstated Monday before the Twins’ game with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Speaking through the team’s interpreter, Polanco said that the time away from the game ”was very difficult.”

The Twins are hoping that the 24-year-old shortstop builds off his breakout 2017 season. Polanco batted .316 with 10 homers and 42 RBIs over his last 55 games in 2017.

”I’m really glad that I’m back,” he said. ”Looking forward to going out there and playing hard.”

Polanco flied out to left in his first at bat of the 2018 season.

Twins manager Paul Molitor welcomed Polanco back.

”It’s good to see him,” Molitor said. ”He had to pay a price for something that happened. He took it head on, took accountability and did his time, so to speak.”

Molitor had a bit of advice for Polanco.

”Be yourself,” Molitor said. ”Don’t worry about trying to make an extreme impression or whatever it might be that you might try to make up for lost time. Just be the player that we know that you can be. That’ll be plenty good enough.”

To make room for Polanco on the 40-man roster, the Twins designated outfielder Ryan LaMarre for release or assignment.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was suspended Tuesday without pay for the first two games of the regular season for violating the NFL's conduct and substance-abuse policy.

The NFL said Foster will also be fined for violations from a weapons offense and misdemeanor drug charge that were resolved earlier this offseason.

Foster will miss San Francisco's games against Minnesota and Detroit before being allowed to return on Sept. 17 before the Niners play Kansas City.

"I accept the League's decision and am sorry that my mistakes have hurt my team Matt Breida Jersey ," Foster said in a statement. "I have a responsibility to the 49ers, our fans and our community, and I am committed to learning from this situation and making better choices in the future. The support I have received over the last five months has been humbling, and I do not take it for granted."

Foster was charged in January in Alabama with second-degree marijuana possession. That charge was eventually dismissed after he completed a first-time offender diversion course.

Foster then faced more serious charges for an incident in California in February. He was initially charged in April with felonies for domestic violence, making criminal threats and weapons possession after being accused of beating up his ex-girlfriend.

A judge ruled there was no probable cause on the first two charges after the ex-girlfriend recanted the allegations and the judge found no other evidence to support the charges. The weapons charge was reduced to a misdemeanor and Foster pleaded no-contest to that in June.

He was sentenced to two years' probation, 232 hours of community service, and $235 in fines. He will not be allowed to own guns while he's on probation.

The 49ers initially told Foster to stay away from the offseason program after the felony charges were filed in the domestic violence case before welcoming him back after that was resolved in May.

"Our organization understands and supports the League's decision," general manager John Lynch said. "Although we are disappointed that Reuben will not be with our team for the first two games of the season, we will continue to work with him on making better decisions and eliminating unnecessary distractions. We are encouraged to see Reuben take responsibility for his mistakes http://www.raidersau...townsend-jersey , and hopeful that he has learned from them as well."

The 49ers drafted Foster 31st overall last year after questions about his health and character caused him to drop from being a possible top 10 pick.

Foster delivered on the field, ranking second on the team with 72 tackles in 10 games as a rookie and looking like a key part of San Francisco's defensive future.

In general, the Green Bay Packers are one of those NFL teams far better known for their brilliant personnel moves than their bad ones. How about the time in 1992 then-GM Ron Wolf sent a mid-first-round pick to Atlanta for their backup quarterback, a mostly unproven kid named Brett Favre? Or Wolf's 1993 free agent signing of Reggie White? Then you've got the draft picks, including first-round gems such as Aaron Rodgers, and 17th-round steal Bart Starr. As any Packers fan should know, those two (along with Favre) are among the greatest Packers of all-time.

Yes indeed, it's much easier to talk about the good things the Packers did, as opposed to the bad things. But we were nonetheless able to identify seven bad trades Youth Kerryon Johnson Jersey , seven bad free agent signings, and seven bad draft picks in the Packers' long history because as the old saying goes, everybody makes mistakes. We've tried to include as many modern examples as possible, but don't be surprised if you see several major blasts from the past in this list 鈥?the Packers may have often been among the NFL's best since the dawn of the Favre era, but the team was, after all, once referred to as the NFL's equivalent of Siberia during their two decades of struggles from the early '70s to the early '90s.

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has covered the Steelers for years K'Waun Williams Jersey , with distinction. That isn’t insulating him from a creative allegation of #fakenews.

After Bouchette reported that Brown limped off the practice field following individual drills on Monday, Brown took to Twitter to say, “Bro seriously have some respect you making sh-t up clown.”

Coach Mike Tomlin separately told reporters that Brown, who returned to team drills on Saturday, was only supposed to participate in individual drills, and that he had no aggravation of his injury.

Regardless, Bouchette surely wasn’t making anything up. He saw what looked like limping. Brown, who typically says all the right things when others are paying attention, should realize that. We’ll see whether Brown has anything else to say, or whether he deletes that tweet.

The Green Bay Packers are debuting their own defensive changes this weekend against the Bears , even if they may not initially make as much of a splash as Chicago's acquisition of star linebacker Khalil Mack.

But the effectiveness of those new wrinkles could be just as important to the fortunes of a team looking to return to the playoffs.

After playing it safe in the preseason, new defensive coordinator Mike Pettine can finally take the wraps off the Packers' revamped scheme when the Bears visit Lambeau Field on Sunday night.

"It just opens up everything," linebacker Nick Perry said Thursday about the new defense. "I think from attacking it off the edge Patrick DiMarco Jersey , attacking it inside, you have more options to attack."

The Packers ranked 22nd in defense last year. It was especially a problem given that quarterback Aaron Rodgers was limited to seven games because of a collarbone injury.

Rodgers has the talent to be able cover up deficiencies in other areas of the team. With Rodgers out, everyone else had to step up. Instead, the Packers finished 7-9 and had its streak of eight straight postseason appearances snapped.

Changes in the organization included the firing of longtime defensive coordinator Dom Capers. He was replaced by Pettine, the former head coach of the Cleveland Browns, who stuck with the 3-4 defense as the base scheme.

So far, so good for the transition.

"I know in preseason, we're keeping it basic," inside linebacker Blake Martinez said. "So it'll be cool to kind of dive into the playbook on Sunday and see how we kind of compete and get the job done."

They will be expected to get pressure with just four outside linebackers on the roster. Perry and fellow veteran Clay Matthews will be backed up by Reggie Gilbert, who emerged in the preseason to become the top reserve; and Kyler Fackrell, a third-round draft pick in 2016.

"It's a demand," Perry said. "But at the end of the day, the big guys have got to kind of take the big load. That's what they pay us for."

More pressure might come from up front. Green Bay added Muhammad Wilkerson as a free agent in the offseason Customized San Francisco 49ers Jerseys , making the line perhaps the strongest position group on the team. Stalwarts Mike Daniels and Kenny Clark lead the front, along with emerging third-year player Dean Lowry and promising second-year pro Montravius Adams.

More inside pressure might lead to more 1-on-1 opportunities on the outside. And that's assuming that Pettine isn't disguising from where the pressure might come on a particular play. Even Rodgers has been impressed this preseason by some different looks on defense.

"We can line up in different spots and attack you. I don't think we're just going to sit there in spots and let people try to pick us apart," Clark said. "I feel like if Aaron is saying it, you can only imagine how other quarterbacks can struggle with it."

A more effective pass rush can also have the effect of forcing quarterbacks into making bad throws, which in turn could lead to better pass coverage, which was another problem area in 2017.

A cornerback group prone to injury the last two seasons has also been revamped, with veteran Tramon Williams returning to provide leadership. The Packers also took promising rookies Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson with their first two picks in the draft.

Matthews estimated that the Packers showed just 5 percent of the defensive playbook during preseason games.

"We definitely have a number of pressures, base defenses, little wrinkles that we like to think will play in our favor," Matthews said. "At the end of the day, we're going out there and playing defense, and the name of the game is tackling the ball. That doesn't change."

The Oakland Raiders have agreed to a three-year contract with free agent tight end Derek Carrier.

A person familiar with the deal says the sides agreed on Tuesday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because signings can't become official until the start of the new league year on Wednesday. NFL Network first reported the deal.

Carrier originally signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2012 but didn't make the team. He has played 50 career games over five seasons with San Francisco Roger Craig Jersey , Washington and the Rams. Carrier played for Raiders coach Jon Gruden's brother, Jay, in Washington and his protege, Sean McVay, with the Rams.

Carrier has 36 catches for 327 yards and one TD in his career. He caught eight passes for 71 yards last season.

The Raiders have several major holes they will look to fill in free agency starting this week as they try to rebound from a disappointing six-win season that led to the firing of coach Jack Del Rio and the move to bring Gruden back for a second stint as coach.

The most glaring spots for the Raiders are on defense, where Oakland will be seeking a starting cornerback to pair with last year's first-round pick Gareon Conley. They must also decide whether to bring back middle linebacker NaVorro Bowman as a free agent or find a replacement elsewhere Womens Cam Newton Jersey , and they need to upgrade the pass rush, especially at defensive tackle.

The Raiders also will likely be in the market for a receiver, a possible replacement for released former starting right tackle Marshall Newhouse, and a running back if they decide not to bring Marshawn Lynch back for a second season.

Prosecutors dismissed the public intoxication case against Terrance Williams on Wednesday, the receiver’s attorneys announced.

Attorney Hunter Biederman’s law firm released a statement, via Pat Doney of DFW’s NBC5:

“We are pleased to announce the successful resolution of all matters regarding Terrance Williams’ arrest on 5-19-18.

“Mr. Williams faced only a single charge Youth JK Scott Jersey , a Class C Misdemeanor of Public Intoxication. The maximum punishment for a Class C Misdemeanor in Texas is fine only. This is the same level charge as a speeding ticket.

“Mr. Williams’ [case] has now been dismissed following the completion of a state-mandated Alcohol Awareness Education course.

“Additionally, any damage caused by Mr. Williams’ vehicle has been settled with the City of Frisco [Texas] as well as any labor utilized by the city to fix any damage.

“The Frisco Police Department has reported that no additional charges are pending nor forthcoming.

“With this sole case now dismissed, this makes the resolution of all matters.”

Williams was arrested for public intoxication and leaving the scene of an accident after crashing his Lamborghini into a light pole. He initially blamed the accident on a former teammate who was neither driving the car nor in the car at the time of the accident.

Don Majkowski is asking for help.

His Packers Hall of Fame ring was stolen from his Baltimore hotel room over the weekend. Majkowski Authentic Tre'Quan Smith Jersey , who played for the Packers from 1987-92, tweeted that he “forgot to put it on one morning and left it on the dresser. Realized it was gone the next day.”

“If anyone sees it out there, let me know!” Majkowski wrote.

The Packers inducted Majkowski into their Hall of Fame in 2005.

He went 22-26-1 in his six seasons in Green Bay, with Brett Favre replacing him in 1992. Majkowski’s only Pro Bowl came in 1989 when he led the league in attempts (599), completions (353) and yards (4,318).

The Packers’ 10-6 record that season was the franchise’s best in 17 years.

Majkowski finished his career with two seasons in Indianapolis and two in Detroit.

For better or for worse, Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson is an expert when it comes to knowing what the NHL looks for when punishing someone for a dangerous hit http://www.raidersau...k-nelson-jersey , and he thinks Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Anton Stralman could be in trouble.

Wilson, who served a three-game suspension earlier this postseason, spoke out about the way Stralman slammed him into the glass in the first period of what turned into a 4-2 victory for Tampa Bay over Washington in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final on Tuesday night.

Stralman was sent to the penalty box for boarding on the play.

”It’s a vulnerable position. There’s no doubt there’s contact with my head. If I’m wearing a helmet from five years ago, I think I’m probably unconscious. So we’ll see what they say,” Wilson said, referring to the possibility of the league’s department of player safety reviewing the matter.

On the play, Wilson was facing the glass not too far from the Capitals’ bench when Stralman hit him from behind. Wilson dropped to the ice and put his right glove to his helmet.

After the game Youth Mike White Jersey , which allowed the Lightning to cut their series deficit to 2-1, Wilson talked about the ”goose egg on the side of my head” and acknowledged, ”It took me a little bit to collect myself.”

He said the hit included ”everything I’ve heard all year: He sees (jersey) numbers for a good amount of time, and he elevates through the back of my shoulder and head.”

Capitals coach Barry Trotz referred to those as ”red flags,” and added, ”I understand where Tom’s coming from, no question.”

”That’s a lot of `don’ts’ for me. From what they’ve been telling me Youth Uchenna Nwosu Jersey , that’s a lot of `don’ts.’ If I make that hit, 100 percent I’m probably sitting out. So we’ll see. It’s playoffs. It’s an intense time of year,” Wilson said. ”I don’t think he’s a malicious player, at all. But it’s a pretty dangerous hit. I think a lot of people will say that.”

The game was scoreless at the time of that hit, but Tampa Bay would go on to take a 3-0 lead en route to the victory. Wilson thought that Stralman’s play might have set a tone that affected the way play went.

”(When) someone gets run from behind, for the next couple shifts, you might be a little more tentative coming back for pucks Womens Sean Couturier Jersey ,” Wilson said. ”We’ve got to play through it. There’s going to be emotion.”

Senior vice president of player safety George Parros was at Tuesday’s game. During the season, Parros and Wilson met for about an hour to go over video clips of various hits so the player could understand what the league is watching for.

During Washington’s elimination of two-time reigning Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh in the second round of the playoffs, Wilson missed three games after breaking Penguins rookie Zach Aston-Reese’s jaw in a violent collision.

Wilson also was forced to sit out two preseason games following a late hit on an opponent, then was suspended for the first four games of the regular season for boarding a player shortly after his return.
